Why our Eggs?

Old Trails Eggs Difference

As cliché as it is, quality eggs start with quality feed and happy hens. But what good is quality feed if you don’t have quality water? ‘Forever Chemicals’ have been shown to accumulate in the yoke of chicken eggs. Browse around the site to learn more about the steps we have taken to ensure the highest quality eggs for the price.

Buying our eggs should be convenient. Check out our list of unconventional vendors and pickup locations. We will make every attempt to keep these vendors stocked with fresh eggs. You may find demand for quality is hard to supply. Scaling to demand will be difficult. Our product is naturally seasonal.

Our goal is to amend 47 acres of ravaged pasture land. Years of all take with little give has left our pasture in great need. We have learned first hand the need for something chickens can provide. Nitrogen rich manure! Read about our experiences, and what we are doing to ensure our practices work for everyone.

You’ll be a believer in farm fresh eggs.

There has never been a better time to eat quality food. We are taking steps toward organic practices, which means we working with nature, not against it. Although we are not ‘certified organic’ rest assured there is no funny business around our farm. The past model of farming has shown its hand, and we are calling its bluff. We’re coming into a fantastic time to put our effort toward regenerative practices. Making use of dryland pasture isn’t for everyone, and has certainly been an uphill battle for us. We hope you can help it become part of our lives. Click a bullet below to read more.

Johnny Cash always makes me smile. Every time I bite into an Old Trails Egg, it reminds me of my stint in the Henitentiary, if you will.
